Avon Protection Systems, Inc. Celebrates Launch of C50 Mask with Contest |
In a contest celebrating the launch of its C50 respirator, Avon Protection Systems, Inc., part of Avon Rubber p.l.c., awarded the Bluffton, Ind. Police Department (PD) 20 C50 masks and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) approved filters – one mask and filter for each member of its force.

The respirator features an advanced, distortion-free panoramic polyurethane visor that is highly flexible, scratch- and impact-resistant and provides better vision and weapon sighting. The C50 mask’s lightweight design ensures superior comfort over long periods in the field, as well as compatibility with helmets and CBRN protective clothing. |
The C50 mask’s chloro-butyl / silicone blend face piece ensures a better seal and greater wearer comfort. Offered in three sizes to provide a comfortable fit for virtually all face sizes and shapes, the mask can be donned in as little as nine seconds.

Avon Protection Systems mailed 17,000 entry forms to police chiefs across the United States. A drawing was held on June 22 to determine the contest winner. Avon Protection Systems presented the masks and conducted a fit test for the Bluffton PD on Aug. 8, during a departmental training session. |
