The FM53 has been designed with specialist users in mind, providing unique capabilities that traditional respirators do not have. It incorporates many of the unique design features of the FM50 such as flexibility, excellent internal air flow, new filter technology and the wide visor. However it’s most unique feature is its adaptability.
The FM53 can be used as regular air purifying respirator or connected to SCBA or to a power air supplied (PAPR); changing from a negative pressurised respirator to positive with the turn of a dial. It also has superior integration with a range of weapons and ancillary equipment due to its slim profile.
