Avon Underwater Systems (AUS) new UK site has been officially opened by Avon Rubber p.l.c Chairman David Evans and Chief Executive Peter Slabbert. The event was attended by a number of clients, colleagues and friends who shared in the celebrations and took the opportunity to explore some of the advance products on offer.

Avon Underwater Systems (AUS) has two key elements; a skill set in design and development in electro-mechanical and software engineering, specialising in life support related products alongside an advanced range of products supporting the military and commercial diving markets.

Speaking at the ribbon cutting Mr Evans said: “Over the past year Avon Protection has evolved its product offerings into Underwater Breathing Apparatus for the military diving market. This compliments our military portfolio of land, air and sea. Avon Underwater Systems now provides innovative military diving equipment and technology to a global customer base and the future in this market for Avon is very exciting indeed".

AUS have recently been awarded key supplier status with The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) which affords the company bidding opportunities under the new 3 year DSTL UK Framework contract. This solidifies its position as a key UK military diving equipment and technology supplier and reinforces its reputation for innovative new products.
